Privacy
This page explains what personal information Lovelace Studio collects, why, and your rights over it.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Lovelace Studio (Carrie-Ann Lovelace). You can reach me at [email protected] about anything on this page.
Commission enquiries and photos
When you send a commission enquiry, I collect your name, email address, message and any photos you upload, so I can reply and, if you go ahead, paint from them. This is on the basis of my legitimate interest in responding to you and taking steps towards a possible commission. Your enquiry and photos are stored privately — they are not published — and deleted when they are no longer needed.
Email updates
If you sign up for email updates, I store your email address and the fact that you consented, so I can send occasional updates. This is on the basis of your consent. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Who else handles your data
Payments are handled by Stripe, which processes your card and billing details to take payment securely — I never see your full card number.
The site is served through Cloudflare, which also provides cookieless Web Analytics. It counts visits without tracking cookies and without identifying you, so there is no cookie banner.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data I hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to or restrict how it is used. Email [email protected] and I will respond.
If you are unhappy with how your data has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
